(En)Courage
vision for (en)courage
The name (En)Courage was chosen as it is our hope that you will feel encouraged by our community, that we can together stand strong and have courage during this season of our lives.

To all those touched by cancer in some way: it is a journey not to travel alone.
It is our goal to be God's ambassadors to help lighten the burden for patients, caregivers, and post cancer individuals during the difficult journey of cancer.
We will support one another spiritually and emotionally, so that we can live each day to the fullest. We will listen, share our struggles and joys, and pray for one another, while exploring a different topic at each session.

For eight years, (En)Courage has been a safe place where God's presence is felt. Whatever is shared stays confidential. Our gatherings attempt to do the following:

-BRING COMFORT: Patients, caregivers and those who are post cancer are not alone in their struggle. People have a chance to share honestly their own stories of pain, struggle and also victory.

-EXTEND MERCY: by validating pain, whether physical, emotional or spiritual

-EXTEND GRACE: by giving patients, caregivers and those post cancer permission to ask questions, express doubt, and be angry at God and/or their situation and pain. As a community, we listen and accept. We will not judge or try to fix.

-SHOW LOVE: by just being there for one another, building one another up

-OFFER HOPE: presenting an eternal hope through Jesus Christ. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
